Bead Work Group Puzzle

In this activity, team members trade pieces of beadwork pictures to put together full images.

Time
• 15 minutes to 30 minutes depending on group size

Materials

  1. 10 images cut into 4 pieces each, totalling forty pieces

  2. A copy of the original uncut images

Instructions

Instructions

  1. Cut each image into half diagonally, then in half diagonally again, so you have four triangular pieces for each card.

  2. Create packages so that each person in a group will have one piece of an image

  3. Give each team/table an envelope of image pieces.

  4. Instruct each team to check out their pieces, match any they can together, then the participants seek the remaining pieces for their images among the rest of the room.

  5. The activity is complete when all images have been created.

Facilitator Guide After the activity, ask the participants to think about the strategies they used. Discussion questions:

  • Did you collaborate, with your table or others? And how?

  • What was your most successful strategy?

  • Did you meet or work together with any

  • What other skills, did you need to use?
