Hello, I am Santana Sanftenberg and I am the Women's Representative for Region 3. I joined the MNOWC in January 2022 and am excited to support the work of the women representatives within the region.

I was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario and now reside in Timmins, Ontario with my husband and son. My Métis ancestry traces back to the McGregor-Riel family. I learned of my Métis ancestry later in my life and continue my journey of learning and knowing Métis culture. 

With an educational and professional background in public health I have a passion for learning and addressing health injustices and inequities to support health living and wellbeing. I look to prioritize policies to promote healthy societies and environments to support Métis women and their families.
